Maybe I was just unlucky, but I found the Red-eyed Vireo a difficult bird to see well (and photograph) in the 3 years I was living in the eastern United States. They tended to stay in the treetops, and the trees are very tall in that part of the world, so all I usually ended up with was a stiff neck...
